Fly O'Clock
Digital Melody - @digitalmelodypl
written by Ois

Fly O'Clock was picked up as part of a random bunch of games off IndieGala.

It didn't last long on my HDD.

You play a fly on a analogue wristwatch (remember them?). Tapping space will make you jump in the NW,SW,SE,NE corners anti clockwise. Time your jumps to avoid the watch hands, both hour and minute, as they move out of sequence and slowly get faster as the game progresses.

Time your jumps to rack up points and save the world. Or something... Basically you just aim just to get a high score and unlock different characters.

Aside from randomised arms and watch faces, there's not much else to change or see. And summer heat prevented me from getting far into this one.

There's achievements. And looking at the % completed markings shows not may people beyond the first tier. Eventually you will slip and and lose. I blame distractions and an itchy eyelid, however as the game progresses the watch hand movements get faster and simple reaction delay (or keyboard input!) are going to trip you up instead

I also waited a good portion on the MP screen and nobody joined, nor were any games found. So that's dead. But this is what I would expect from a tiny indie game on Steam.

Which is a small shame, as I expect the actual fun from this would be local or online MP/Co-Op as a quick little party game.

Ehhh. It works I guess. There's just not a lot to talk about.

Australian Summers are full of flies, so there was some small satisfaction in losing and seeing your player character get chopped in half >:)
